We had been contacted by a series of companies trying to get us to sign up to an expensive legal process to exit our timeshare with CLC - even though we had relinquished a few year before. They used scare tactics to say we would be billed for unpaid management fees unless we used their legal services to end our contract. After a 10 minute conversation with Robert I felt hugely reassured, on his advice contacted CLC to check my membership status and got confirmation that we were not required to pay management fees after relinquish membership. Never realised the minefield that these timeshare/holiday clubs could be.. They delivered the experience that they said they would but you were caught up in the annual fees, even if you wanted go elsewhere for the same cost . Although if there is a "release arrangement" this appears to be time consuming to conclusion. Personally I have enough going on my life to have been following a direct relinquishment. I have had many "timeshare specialists !" call me, and have nearly been scammed once, across the last 3 years by operators based from (apparently) Spain.
I have no experience of the Spanish legal system and the Sarah Waddington, and UK regulated, exposure seemed to meet the "scam" criteria.
Since engaging in mid summer 2020 it has taken about 12 months to get out of the CLC contract, which has now been confirmed. We didn't seek compensation because the advice from all timeshare recovery companies was that it would be difficult to enforce in Spain.
We had some good times. Ongoing commitment - Now gone.
There are timeshare recovery companies who appear to be offering "timeshare recovery" that are "outsource" introduction operations for other businesses. I have had many of those.
There have even been negative comments about the Sarah Waddington "business model". All I would say is "that it appears to have worked to me" however they have done it. It has taken a long time but you need to have your paperwork documents to support the original signed documentation
Anyone reading this review needs to understand that I have no linkage to Sarah Waddington Solicitors or any members of their team. They provided the service that I had been looking forward too finding for years.
Also - pay by credit card just in case it doesn't deliver what you are expecting.

We have nothing but the highest praise for Sarah Waddington , having taken a timeshare with Club La Costa
and purchased over a number of years numerous points at vast expense.
We can now live a less stressful life free of annual rising fees thanks to the team's effort to free us from this agreement.

Result
Started in 2016. CLC not committed to resolving issues. Solicitors worked out alternative solution with FOS. Some restitution obtained. Result best we could hope for. Membership closed (we think).

Keep the faith
It seems a lifetime ago that I trusted Sarah Waddingtons to extricate me from CLC and recover some of the money invested. My faith has been completely justified. I have received a repayment, and interest. I am so glad I stuck with them because like many of you I sometimes had my doubts. Well done and my many thanks.

Relinquishment of Time Share Ownership
It was a breakthrough for us when we were advised by our friends to use Sarah Waddington Solicitors because they knew we had been trying to get out of the Time Share Ownership without success. That was the best decision we ever made!

Helpful, Kind, Understanding & Efficient
This firm helped us extract ourselves from Discover Access, Malta, and their debt collectors, after we were duped.
They dealt with everything in a timely manner. They fully understood how upset we were.
Importantly, they won the case !

Made a stressful situation much easier to deal with
I contacted Sarah Waddington Solicitors as I was trapped in an unhappy Fractional timeshare agreement, having been almost bullied into signing whilst my wife and I were dealing with her cancer. Sadly she passed away and the timeshare was not what we had wanted but signed upto after more than 9 hours salesman pushing us. I first dealt with Robert Adam who instantly set my mind at rest as to the fact they could deal with the whole process and he guided me through that on the phone at my speed so I understood everything I was getting involved in. Since that first phone call all of the people working at Sarah Waddington Solicitors have been equally helpful, professional and when they said they would do something they did it. I have now relinquished my timeshare ownership and a huge weight has been lifted off of me. I can only speak for how I find people and I would recommend Sarah Waddington Solicitors to anyone who is involved in trying to remove themselves from a timeshare they have been pushed into. Thanks to Robert and John and Carol and all at Sarah Waddington, am extremely pleased I chose them

Relinquishment of time share ownership from CLC
I am very relieved to have been supported by John Hurley and his associates: Katya Burns and Eleanor Gregory. Their attentiveness to my case was reassuring to me leaving and trusting them to get on with things in my best interests, whilst I attended to care for needs of my late wife and our family. John took time to explain and collate information pertaining to my case, and made me aware of predictive outcomes. He and his colleagues were alway available for me to approach with any questions of concern. Of course this has been a long journey (and continues in parts) of seeking redress against some very large organisations and banks, but my late wife and I felt less threatened by the this daunting prospect because of John and his colleagues at Sarah Waddington Solicitors.
