Storing a Will with the Executors
I made out a new Will after coming into an inheritance. My executors, two friends, were older than me and I'm 81, so I chose T V Edwards which my neighbor recommended as they had an office nearby. Eventually it all worked out but it took a lot of unanswered emails and phone calls, and I did not fully understand the information I was given initially. After they suggested adding some words to the paragraph appointing them as Executors I met up with an employee at their apparently unstaffed Battersea office. If they redrafted the whole Will in their style I would be charged £400 but as they had now reviewed it and suggested a change, which I had done, they could now store it at their Whitechapel offices for £200. The representative could not accept payment at the Battersea office so it was done by BACS. I am now happy that T V Edwards are my Executors. On reflection a personal visit to their Whitechapel office might have made the whole exercise much easier and avoided the confusion.
