As my old solicitor firm had closed I decided to use a locally based solicitor in Emsworth. You definitely pay for the excellent, professional work undertaken but I know I will not have to worry about my estate for a while. I was kept informed by the solicitor, Penny Smith, at all stages. She clearly explained the options available and produced a will that covered my wishes. I was charged about £100 more than the top estimate given me which did cause a sharp intake of breath but after discussing the bill and getting a break down of the hours spent I accepted that £1086.90 was not too unreasonable.

I worked with Belcher Addison for a period of 18 months from October 2023 to March 2025 to ensure the correct execution of my Father's will and subsequently the disposal of his Estate. This involved obtaining copies of his will and grant of Probate through to the sale of a property and production of detailed Estate Accounts to cover assets, liabilities and final distribution of funds to beneficiaries. This work was led by a Director and Senior Partner supported by a Private Client Team Assistant and Solicitor Apprentice and involved contacting and supporting beneficiaries in the UK, Canada and New Zealand. Care and attention was provided to all concerned in an open professional and friendly manner.
