Worst experience ever. Purchased New build, solictors didnt check Planning, found out later the house was built on Contaminated land. Do not go near that company. Then to top it all off, they didnt register the house with Land registry.

We had Yusuf looking after us and he was fantastic. He protected our interests and made sure we got a fair deal with some of the negotiations with the owners of the flat we were buying. He kept us informed throughout and also arranged for an exchange and completion on the same day.
Overall a very good service

Communication from our trainee solicitor at Davisons Solicitor was awful. Phone calls never returned, and chasing from our estate agency and buyers solicitor throughout our sale. Not even courtesy emails were returned to acknowledge correspondence. Shocking customer service. In addition, we were requested to send recorded deliveries of paperwork to later be resent as they 'were not received' (although signed for). Shocking administration services. Our trainee solicitor also had a lack of appropriate legal knowledge dealing with our property. And finally, there were discrepancies about our end bill that was itemised in a confusing way. Therefore, my experience of Davisons Solicitor means - I will definitely not be returning or recommending Davisons Solicitors in the future.

Terrible service.
They were extremely slow to the point where we had to apply for an extension on the mortgage offer, which they didn’t notice until a week before completion… I had lack of communication throughout, the only time I got an update was when I chased them myself.
The solicitor kept asking repeat and odd questions to the sellers solicitor throughout, which held up the process as well.
The day prior to completing, they realised they’d made errors in the invoice and therefore I had to find another £700 overnight due to their incompetence in completing an invoice.
I made a complaint to the company and was told that the service given was sufficient, so clearly in denial that they are useless.
Extremely expensive, useless and I will definitely not be recommending to my friends who are mostly looking to buy houses! Or will I be using them again!!

I sold my property in January 2020. I was given some incorrect advise and now I am a significant amount of money down. I have now been told I will need to use one of the companies litigation team at my own expense. An entirely unprofessional service throughout and I would never use them again. The communication has been poor throughout apart from when taking their own fees. For the past 14 months I have had to send weekly emails to find out where my case is only to be told 15 months later I will need to pay more money to use someone else within their firm. Truly appalled by the experience of so called professionals.

Perhaps we were just unlucky but our experience with Davisons Weoley Castle, was a rollercoaster to say the least!

One reason why we went with Davisons is their cross-the-board positive reviews across a raft of different web sites. Moreover being fairly local to us it meant we could keep in contact with them face to face, should the need arise.

To be fair to Davisons our house sale did fall within the given time-span of a typical house sale - which for us was around 3 months from offer to exchange; and some of the delays were caused by the buyer's third party - something of which Davisons had no influence over. But I think the main cause of concern for us was the lack of voluntary communication from their side. Instead we had to regularly phone or email for updates (not on a daily basis, but at least weekly); and even then some of the information was a bit ambiguous and not all that reassuring.

They do have an online tracking widget (at a cost to you of £6), which covers the main steps of the legal sale process, but even now - almost 2 weeks after Completion - it is still incomplete with many steps at the "processing" stage!

All told, we managed to complete on the allotted date, and both parties were content with that. Davisons did their best for both buyer and seller, but I think more solid communication would be welcomed.

Professional and really helpful going the extra mile on the sale of our property

I can not fault the conveyancing service we have recently received on our house sale and purchase. Sue was exceptionally thorough keeping us up to date with regular conveyancing notes and Claire coached us through the whole process professionally and with kindness. Claire consistently turned around queries very quickly and kept the whole process moving.
