Having used Stuart Fantham for many years with various conveyancing needs, I found him efficient, approachable. Recently had the need of his probate service via his colleague, Anita Cook.She was transparent regarding the costs, communication was excellent and despite slight complications, not of her making, resolved all issues promptly.

Stuart is a really lovely chap, probably best described as an 'old school' solicitor. Very thorough, careful & quite reasonable for standard conveyancing. If rating Stuart alone it would be an easy 4/5. However, housed within SF&Co is Anita Cook who deals with Probate and Wills. If you are contemplating using her services you will need enormous patience and very deep pockets indeed. Itemised invoices are non-existent, and the charges are very high, coupled with extremely long delays. I am writing this review with my daughter, who has used SF&Co's services for over twenty years, and was very happy until encountering their Wills and Probate service. They really do need to be more transparent and inform clients of costs with detailed estimates, and properly itemised invoices.

I have used Stuart Fantham for a number of legal matters recently ranging from setting up a Power of Attorney to conveyance of a house, he has been wonderfully helpful and made a stressful time much easier to deal with, I would have no hesitation in recommending the firm, all of his team have been very professional and easy to deal with. He has expert knowledge of these areas of the law and you can trust his advice fully.

Stuart and the team did a great job with our conveyance. I am local to Wendover and I liked the personal approach, the ability to talk face to face and drop documents off in person rather than having to post them. I used the services of Stuart Fantham solicitors in Dec 2009 for the purchase of a flat in London. I was quite happy with their services at that time. Now in 2017 I've sold my flat, which I rented for a time, and need a copy of the completion statement for tax purposes. I appreciate that my purchase was a long time ago but when I spoke with the receptionist on the phone I was told that they had my records and that a copy would be emailed to me shortly. I've yet to receive it and that was three months ago. I've chased this up since and while on the phone I'm told that it will be forthcoming it never is. My emails, web query and more recently my letter all go unanswered. I find this level of service unprofessional and quite frankly rude. I wouldn't use them again and while I didn't experience any major issues with my property purchase in 2009, I certainly wouldn't say that there is anything particularly remarkable about Stuart Fantham solicitors to recommend their services. Shop around, there are more professional, expeditious and courteous solicitors out there!
