Bridgeman Kettle LLP

This is the second time I’ve used Bridgeman Kettle for conveyancing — first for a sale and purchase a few years ago, and more recently for a sale only, which involved power of attorney. On both occasions the service has been outstanding. What really makes Bridgeman Kettle stand out is their excellent communication throughout the process. In particular, Janet Atkinson (for Celestina Collison) was incredibly efficient, friendly, proactive and helpful — I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a smoother or more professional experience. Buying/selling a house can be stressful as you have little control over what happens, add in an unresponsive solicitor who isn’t proactive and the situation is made ten times worse - I speak from experience having used an estate agent recommended solicitor in the past (first time buyer, I knew no better!). Not so with Bridgeman Kettle - they were proactive, quick to respond and kept me updated the whole way through. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to make the process as smooth as possible.

My wife rang up asking if they could provide a notarised copy of her current passport so that she can send away her passport for her indefinite right to remain stamp to be added to it. The person answering the phone was rude, said they couldn't do it and accused her of arguing when she expressed surprise that such a simple job couldn't be done. They then put the phone down on her. She rang up another local solicitor who understood exactly what she needed and has made an appointment for her to come and get it done.

I first used Bridgeman Kettle when I was buying my first house. I had no previous solicitor dealings but everyone warned me how stressful it could be... I have no idea what the fuss was about! Lynda was extremely helpful and everything was done when they said it would be and I was always kept in the loop. Everyone at BK was friendly and always willing to help and I have recently used them again for another properly transaction, receiving exactly the same high levels of standard! I've already recommended them to a few friends and will be using them for many years to come, particularly as they also came out the cheapest of all the quotes!
