I’ve dealt with Ben Thomas for two separate property purchases I’ve made the first one in 2019 and the second one today. On both occasions I’ve found Ben to be straightforward, professional and genuinely a great guy to deal with. He’s been amazing at keeping me updated and just getting the job done. He’s made the whole process easy and painless. I’m generally a worrier and dealing with someone who is approachable, friendly and explains things clearly is amazing. I did a fair bit of research before choosing Robert’s Crossley and couldn’t find a cheaper solicitor. At first this worried me as I thought it might be a reflection on the service I would get however I was totally wrong. The level of service you get for the price paid is a bargain. I had a very disappointing experience with Katy Hutchinson, Senior Conveyancing Manager. Although several other lawyers told us our case was relatively straightforward, the process was made far more stressful than it needed to be. Communication was extremely poor. We always provided any requested documents or information promptly, yet it would often take days or even weeks to receive a response to our emails. We repeatedly asked for updates, but our questions were frequently ignored. At one point, we asked whether they were unable to handle our case and, if so, whether we could have our deposit refunded. We never received a clear answer. We also called the office several times, but our concerns were never properly addressed or resolved. Overall, the lack of communication, delays, and failure to answer straightforward questions made this a very frustrating experience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using this solicitor if good communication and timely responses are important to you.
