3 years and refuse to speak to a client

I would never use this company again, 1 phone call in 3 years, made a claim they called me to take the details, and then it was silent, if you called them because you had not heard from them for 3 months , they refuse to take the call and told I had to email.

I was without a vehicle for 10 months, because they lost my claim, I had to restart it 6 months in, they told me I was not allowed to claim travel expenses to travel to work, and then told me a year later I could , so lost hundreds of pounds there.

3 years to resolve a claim , there bill just went up and up (not that I was paying ) but this is how they made ££££ from my case.
If you were to email you would get an auto response to say your email is received and you would get a response on 48 hrs, to which a response never came back, emails ignored and they only emailed you when they wanted something or to tell you how much it was costing as they have too.
Customer service is well below zero and defiantly not a company to have the customer at heart and updated.

After all these years I was awarded 3 times less then what they made and then they took 25% plus vat extra for their time.

I have records from start to finish so these will be report to the ombudsman
And hopefully one day they may actually employ decent staff , as my case changed hands three times .

Horrendous. The stress is unbelievable.

Consistent rude staff.
Consistent lack of communication.
The incompetence and lack of professionalism is painful to hear with. Every point you make which most of the times highlights there failings they are quick to rush you off the phone. I have the name on a female employee whom I've made a complaint about. It will not be taken seriously. Please avoid these.

Do. Not. Use. It’s that simple

Where to begin with this bunch of cowboys!?
I’ll start at the end: DO NOT USE THEM. I’ll repeat that: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM.

Now I’ll explain why….You will not be treated well. You will not have your emails replied to. You will not be able to contact them on the phone. You will be shunting around ‘trainee solicitors’ who frankly are clueless. You will be given bogus information and false promises. In my case, after 10 months of obfuscation and numerous attempts to get my claim moving forward, you will receive a phone call from some underling to tell you that they are dropping your case because of a ‘conflict of interest!’ According to this underling, Bott and Co. are representing the third party driver in my case. By way of explanation, the t/p driver in my case had already pleaded guilty to ‘careless and reckless driving’ and ‘driving whilst under the influence of a controlled substance’. It has taken them 10 months and countless wasted hours on my behalf (filling out forms, questionnaires, emails etc) to be told they are dropping me for the driver who has already been convicted of causing the accident I was claiming for. They are beyond a joke
It’s not entirely clear to me yet what the scam is (I’m sure that will become evident in the coming days, my guess is they are going to try and charge me for stuff they’ve purported to have done (good luck with that guys) but I have no doubt they are just a bunch of ‘legal scammers’
So you are looking at this/these reviews because you want to know whether Bott and co are worthy of your time and money. They are not. Move on. Find a firm that you can trust and that will actually do what they say they will. All of these bad reviews are not a coincidence. They are that bad. In fact they are worse.
No doubt some Bott and co. employee will now come on to this review and try and explain to me (and all of you) why I am wrong and that it’s all a big mistake. Once again, I would like to wish you good luck with that.

Worst solictors I've ever used

These are the worst firm of solicitors I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Appointed by my insurance company for a vehicle accident claim back in Feb 2023.
Now October 2023, after poor and tardy communication (their "OIC@bottonline.co.uk" email hub is pathetic as they never respond) they send me an email saying that unfortunately they gave me an inaccurate valuation of my injuries and that it is £1000 less than originally agreed. Apparently due to a technical error on my electronic file - whatever that means !!
They have also failed to grasp what compensation I'm actually claiming.
They're absolutely useless and incompetent.

Exceptionally poor customer service

Despite 8 emails requesting answers to queries I have never received a reply. Totally unprofessional firm.
Don't bother using the oic@bottonline.co.uk email because no-one responds. I resorted to emailing Jessica Healy (OIC Supervisor) directly but never received a reply.
All they do is send a weekly generic Client Chaser email but fail miserably to act on any return correspondence.

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs, they do act on your best interests.

They were the legal cover provided by my insurance company after I was rear ended on an icy road, the driver accepted full liability, I was referred to a physio which was a 50 mile round trip, when submitting my claim for travel expenses which was 45p per mile I was informed that some 3rd parties only pay 25p per mile, Bott & Co settled at 9p per mile for travel when fuel was the highest it has ever been in the UK, and without any consultation with me, how is that in my best interests.

I had to go for a medical which was really just a production line of people in a hotel, I wasn't examined just filled in a form and got rid of asap, when I queried with Bott and Co about a lump on my wrist and loss of strength in my right hand that only started after the accident they said they couldn't disagree with the medical professionals opinion.

They are hard to get hold of taking 5 days to answer one simple email and ignore what you say.

In May I signed paperwork in which they stated an amount for my injury and I signed for them to accept no less, I recently got a pay out which was a quarter of the stated sum, when I queried it I was told the sum was a mistake, how can a solicitor make such a glaring mistake and not be made accountable, this was also when I found out about the 9 pence per mail.

In summary they do not listen, communicate or achieve the best outcome on your behalf, they just want a quick turn around.

I shall be complaining to the Legal Ombudsman about this company, do your homework people and steer clear

DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER

they will take 35% of your winnings , even though it states the legal limit is 25% but they somehow manage to push it up to 35%, you can use other providers and they take nothing from you & only from the other party at fault. I wish I hadn’t gone with bott and co but I was also vulnerable & none the wiser at the time & because I had already started the process, I couldn’t back out because I would still have to pay them for their ‘work’ even though the other party had accepted liability straight away and they couldn’t have done much ‘work’, it was too late and it was a horrible position to be in. Search around and you’ll find much better providers, I wish this doesn’t happen to someone else.

Very poor service

I put a claim in with bolt and co a year ago and have received the worst customer service I have ever known.
Bolt and co never return emails or contact thier customers with updates, and recently closed thier phone lines so you have no way to contact them.
I would never tell anyone to use this service
