Serious misconduct — currently subject to Scottish Legal Complaints Commission investigation
As a residuary beneficiary of an estate administered by this firm, I experienced years of delay, lack of transparency, and failure to respond to correspondence. The firm consistently failed to act in the best interests of the beneficiaries and ignored its fiduciary duties, making decisions contrary to the expressed wishes of the majority beneficiaries. Critical paperwork was not shared and reasonable requests were repeatedly refused. Expert medical opinion cast serious doubt on the testator's capacity at the time the will was signed, yet rather than helping to foster agreement between beneficiaries, the firm actively stoked conflict and took no steps to address these concerns. Not once did the named executor answer an email directly or accept a phone call to engage with the beneficiaries and understand their position. A formal complaint is currently being investigated by the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission
