My case

Hi there I recently had a very good result on my case ,I would really like to mention my solicitor whom represented me ,with very high standards off communication and representation,I would like to thank Sarah Kelly from Digby brown Glasgow office for everything she did for me ,if you do happen to require a solicitor then I can't recommend Sarah enough , absolutely amazing from start to finish also Colin moffat who was very much involved before Sarah took on my case , thank you so so much for everything and especially the very positive outcome, without Sarah I'd be still in a very horrible negative situation, very much appreciated thank you guys ,you are the very best 👍👍

Innes Laing went the extra mile for me

Totally appreciate the extra effort Innes went to in retrieving me allowable reports on my mother's death.
With also having legal knowledge of whom I may ask next, for more information! That titled next of kin are meant to communicate to siblings.....
The information I received means more than the financial compensation in my mind!
Crossing the t's and dotting the i's.
All the little things covered. As my mum did.
Thank you for helping me fully finish this sad chapter before I move on to the next.

Had to contact the dr to chase up medical report myself, was told would take so long then it changed to longer and still had no response so I contacted the office and asked for it to be sent.
Was told valuation was sent and company have 5 weeks to respond to then be told we will give them another day to respond still no response from emails i have sent asking what happens now so feel that emails being ignored and dont know what happens next.
Think they say a time frame then move it and leave you hanging not knowing whats next if anything wouldnt recommend tbh and feel like ur just a number that they will eventually get to best using small company that may keep you better informed

Overall i am satisfied with the way my case was handled, however it is quite clear that solicitors operate on a factory like scheme, quantity over quality. My initial solicitor was changed towards the end of my case, which was not explained to me beforehand, and the second solicitor was very pushy trying to change my decision of accepting the offer. I do understand that solicitors work on commission but at this point this is not a professional behaviour. My other note - my surname is polish, therefore I was addressed in polish every time a polish solicitor called me. I have not requested it, and the fact that the second solicitor didn't even know that all my communication with the previous one was in English was a big red flag and contributed to my decision of closing the case as soon as possible.
