My brother and I can't thank Lee and Elsa enough for the help needed to apply for guardianship for or elderly parent. Lee kept us updated of the stages and was so helpful at answering any questions. Elsa was the same for her part once it was to be brought to the sheriff. We can't recommend this company enough, what we thought would be a process of hurdles was actually a walk in the park. Thank you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+

Guidance on updating my will

As I walked along to McCarthy law it was with a bit of trepidation. I wanted to get it right.

The ladies in the outer office were welcoming and friendly and, as I was early, they offered tea, coffee, water.

When Kathleen came out she had a lovely welcoming smile and took me through to her office.

After a bit of a how are you and catch-up chat, we settled down to business. Kathleen was able to draw out my thoughts and concerns and give me guidance on the legal aspects.

It soon all fell into place and Kathleen said she’d draw up a draft for my perusal. This arrived within a few days and after I suggested some small alteration the final document was printed and I was invited in to sign it.

A very straight forward procedure, with the guidance I received.

Mccarthy law helped me with a guardian application - really helpful and reassuring. Also went above and beyond helping me chase the council to allocate a mental health officer and even helped me with a banking issue. Great communication, very kind and reassuring and would highly recommend.

About this branch

Description

I established McCarthy Law in 2013 as I wanted to spend as much of my time as possible assisting my clients on a one to one basis. My overheads are low meaning that my clients can get the full benefit of my legal experience without having to pay hourly rates more commonly associated with larger law firms. I offer Legal Aid where it is appropriate to do so – not all law firms do. Since starting McCarthy Law I have been able to help clients in my key areas of experience and expertise – personal injury claims of all types; family matters including divorce and separation; wills; power of attorney work and guardianship orders… I never lose sight of the fact that every instruction I receive is in relation to a matter that is of extreme importance to my client and accordingly I treat it as such. My approach is simple… I keep my client central, deliver balanced and insightful advice to achieve the best outcomes. My academic qualifications are a degree in Scots Law (LLB), Master of Law (Medicine, Law and Ethics), and Notary Public. I am a member of the Family Law Association.
