initially was'nt sure where the underlying loyalty lay as if pay for a solicitor I expect them to be on my side working for me. At early stage of the process i got the impression that the because Equilaw specialise in Equity release and reading the blurb have a declared stake with LV / other Equity providers that there was more done with extensive paperwork to satisfy the provider ensuring their interest is well safeguarded than perhaps the client (ie me). while the following action with the solicitor actually visiting me in my home was an unusual step for me from lawyers who normally have you do all the foot work. Nonetheless was helpful as the online option was complex and bafflling for me. So still not entirely sure where the line for helping me and assisting the Equity provvider is drawn.

Overall the service from Eqilaw was brilliant - they were courteous helpful and efficient - the actual signing day meeting was I felt just a little rushed and unnecessarily so - however it all went pretty smoothly overall as I say and I would certainly recommend their service
