Very professional service offered for anyone undertaking equity release. The home visit to get everything signed was great and they were on top of the process all the time

We needed a solicitor to deal with the legal side of setting up a lifetime mortgage. Having been quoted an extortionate amount (in excess of £4k) by our go to local solicitors, Equilaw were recommended by our financial advisor and they charged a very reasonable rate. Communications with Lily Hieron and her assistant Poppy were always very good and the mortgage was completed very quickly. The only difficulty was arranging a signing session at home with a visiting solicitor as we were only given a day when they might come and no specific time until the day before. This meant taking a whole day off work to accommodate it. I understand that they are working to improve this situation so, hopefully, it will improve in the future.

My experience so far has been positive. I have received my P of A’s I am still awaiting my Will but received a call confirming it was being completed. Once my Will is received I will be able to give a more complete review.

I found Equilaw to be very efficient in each step in their part of the equity release process. The only negative was the address was wrong on some paperwork but I don't know whose fault that was.

Online and easy! An excellent experience with a professional process that can be followed in an online account. Our solicitor Emily and her office team were quick to respond to every email or telephone call with the added benefit of being able to book a time to talk that works for everyone if needed. All work was completed in good time with Nicola visiting our home to sign up the final contracts and paperwork. Everything checked and any questions fully explained at each point.
