Having health problems it was great having someone who could come to the house. The pack they sent out in advance was nice and clear about the process and what I had to have prepared in advance. They also rang me through each stage of the process making sure I was clear about how things were progressing and did not just assume i had got/read all the emails. The person that attended was polite and friendly and made sure I fully understood the various documents I was signing. Very painless process all over in 20 minutes. Woiuld definately use again.

We needed a solicitor to deal with the legal side of setting up a lifetime mortgage. Having been quoted an extortionate amount (in excess of £4k) by our go to local solicitors, Equilaw were recommended by our financial advisor and they charged a very reasonable rate. Communications with Lily Hieron and her assistant Poppy were always very good and the mortgage was completed very quickly. The only difficulty was arranging a signing session at home with a visiting solicitor as we were only given a day when they might come and no specific time until the day before. This meant taking a whole day off work to accommodate it. I understand that they are working to improve this situation so, hopefully, it will improve in the future.

My experience so far has been positive. I have received my P of A’s I am still awaiting my Will but received a call confirming it was being completed. Once my Will is received I will be able to give a more complete review.

I found Equilaw to be very efficient in each step in their part of the equity release process. The only negative was the address was wrong on some paperwork but I don't know whose fault that was.

Online and easy! An excellent experience with a professional process that can be followed in an online account. Our solicitor Emily and her office team were quick to respond to every email or telephone call with the added benefit of being able to book a time to talk that works for everyone if needed. All work was completed in good time with Nicola visiting our home to sign up the final contracts and paperwork. Everything checked and any questions fully explained at each point. I would have great confidence in recommending Equilaw.

I have dealt with Equilaw now for about 2 years and I must say their service is excellent. I first made contact to Millie, who was very helpful and reassuring when I wasn't quit sure of something, she is really great to deal with. When the case was proceeding I had a lot of chats with Robert Davies Boulton who kept me informed right through the processes with various clients, he always got back to me when requested to, very eager to help all the time. Equilaw's Lily Hieron was the case manage for my equity release from lender More2Life which was organised by my financial advisor Money Ways (UK). Lily was proactive and provided expert legal advice throughout the application process. Communications between Equilaw, Money Ways and myself was seamless and reassuring in what can be a complex financial process. At one stage in the process I had to pause the application whilst I reviewed new information. This was handled by Lily with no issues and the application finally went through successfully. The process was relatively painless, as I had a complicated background which made it take a while longer than I had expected. However once we had all the paperwork’s together this process sailed through! Communication was a little erratic but then so were my responses. All in all a good experience Thankyou all!
