I had an injury at work caused by the company’s negligence and I contacted injury lawyers for you who then allocated my case to be dealt with by Express Solicitors Limited in November 2021.
It was a very slow process and it took over 3 years to be settled.
I must admit that I was kept informed about what was happening throughout but was disappointing was the time it took to get it settled. I was paid out in May 2025 and I was happy that it’s over and done with as it was starting to stress me out. Too much paperwork to sign and if they could reduce too many documents to sign would help people who are already stressed.
I can only say their changes are high though.
Overall I would recommend them to family and friends but a lot of patients is required.

Changed solicitors 4 times ,took years to go to court didn't even try to win , documents signed and dated while I was out of the country so clearly not me , case didn't won ( wonder why 😡), then charged £11,000 for it absolutely diabolical. Stay well away from these .

My daughter was injured when a speeding driver who was over the prescribed alcohol limit crashed into our car on 15th May 2021. We instructed Michael W Halsall Solicitors to act on our behalf in a claim for injury compensation.
In November 2022 we received a letter telling us that Halsall Solicitors had been sold to Express Solicitors and that they were taking over my daughter’s claim. On 23 January 2023 I received a letter from Express Solicitors saying that they were “considering her file in relation to placing a value of her claim”.
In March 2023 I wrote to Express Solicitors complaining that I had heard nothing for over six weeks. I received an automatic reply telling me that my contact no longer worked for Express Solicitors. I wrote expressing concern that no one at Express Solicitors had contacted me to pass on this information or to tell me who was now dealing with my daughter’s case.
Two weeks later Express Solicitors wrote to advise me that a Litigation Executive had taken over her case. I was first contacted by this person on 19 April 2023 trying to sell me After The Event insurance but with no update on my daughter’s case. I received an email at the end of May 2023 asking for permission to access my daughter’s medical records. I replied immediately giving permission.
In August 2023 I made a formal complaint about lack of progress and poor communications and received an apology and a promise of better consultation.
In January 2024 I was told that Express Solicitors now had my daughter’s updated medical records and were in the process of reviewing the entirety of her case. In April 2024 they wrote to say “Your daughter’s Infant Advice has been drafted and is with a partner for approval.” Six weeks later I am told we are still waiting for a partner to approve the advice.
It has been 19 months since Express Solicitors took on this case during which time there has been absolutely no progress. I have written to them on nine occasions asking for news and chasing for some action.

⚠BEWARE⚠ If you use this company for no win no fee then you should tread very carefully. They pushed the price up of my case when I had already made a verbal agreement and a written contract with my solicitor prior to her working for express. This was set a 20% which is the most I was willing to pay. My solicitors old firm linder myers also in Manchester was shut down by the sra. I managed to relocate her and she was now working with express Manchester. This is where all of my problems started regarding fees, hidden costs and I was also made to sign two contacts where the price increased. This all occurred when the management at express realised the value of my claim was significant and they ended up taking a whopping £14,000 for less than 2 years work.
To add insult to injury... "pardon the pun" I had put a hard 5 years of work into my case before employing my solicitor for them to then fleece me for an astronomical figure. They took a lot of my compensation away from me and I complained. They promised to resolve my complaint, but didn't.
I eventually spoke to the ceo and he was so Un empathetic towards someone who had been a victim in the first place and it was then clear that nothing would be done about my complaint. I appointed this to the legal ombudsman to review my complaint and they ignored that aswell. I have since reappointed the ombudsman to investigate these charlatans again for their dishonesty, non transparency, false promises, shocking customer service and extortionate fees.
Their customer service team are bias and could not even give a resolution to my complaint. I was promised for my complaint to be re assessed by another complaint partner within the company and they then pulled the plug and simply didn't do what they promised to do in writing.

Be very careful peeps because they pray on the weak and vulnerable. Serious cash vampires.

They change solicitors 5 times, hidden charges! avoid !

I recommend her with confidence to all my friends and even my family if they ever need her because Ms. Lawyer Jennifer Friedrich knows how to use her professionalism in everything she does, she was very cooperative, polite, sociable and open to the topic she discussed . I thank him very much once again and wish him the best of luck in the next cases he will have.
