Leasehold sale going well until buyers pulled out after 3 months. I spoke to Savills day after collapse and agreed an auction. Savills contacted RM who immediately told me they were disappointed not to hear from me (buyers solicitors should be communicating and Savills know what to ask for, so they said they'd approach RM. I assumed we could continue working). Was told they have no capacity for auction and even if I was to proceed it would be £4000 up front non refundable. Charge what you like but I've completed with a firm in Halifax for nowhere near that. Had a difficult chat with Solicitor who I felt didn't listen to my circumstances and was only focused on the work they'd done. The shame was, we were near completion so the work was good, perhaps that's why they were so annoyed but needs to come across better. I did end the call and emailed after to apologise. No winners here I'm afraid.

Jojar Singh & Jess Kaur are amazing at conveyancing. Their services are great value for their professionalism & expertise. Highly recommend RM Legal.

I contacted this firm for a conveyancing quotation on my first property purchase. The initial quote contained a significant discrepancy—I had explicitly stated a purchase price of £208,000 in my email, yet the quotation quoted £210,000. When I pointed this out, I was told it was simply a typing error with no apology or acknowledgement of the mistake. During a subsequent call, I asked reasonable questions about timescales—not for certainty, but for a rough estimate based on their experience. The senior staff member I spoke with, Muntaha Arjina, repeatedly refused to provide even a ballpark figure, insisting we cannot say anything and it completely depends. When I pressed for a general range based on previous cases, she became dismissive and abruptly transferred me to a junior colleague without explanation. The junior colleague (James) who took the call was professional, courteous, and answered my questions clearly and specifically—demonstrating that providing helpful guidance was entirely possible. The contrast was stark. I would not recommend this firm based on this experience. Poor attention to detail, dismissive communication, and an unwillingness to assist a first-time buyer with reasonable queries suggests a firm that does not prioritise client service.
