I choose the duty solicitor upon my arrest and was given this firm. After a couple of weeks of them not answering the phone or returning any of my messages I decided to try and switch my legal aid. This was in march 2025. They even failed to respond to that. After what seemed like a 100 phone calls I finally got a response from them at the end of September saying they will not let me switch my legal aid because they had done all of the work already on my case. Despite not taking any information from me! My case worker assured me that I had been appointed a barrister who has gone over everything and had been updated on all the information I had provided via email ( information that they never once acknowledged or replied in any way) I wrote a letter to the judge and forwarded it via the email and the case worker said that will be put on the system there’s no need to bring a hard copy. I was in court on the 17th November. My barrister arrived 30 minutes late, she had no idea about my case and clearly no groundwork had been done whatsoever. She also informed me that there is no letter on the system for the judge. I was left with no choice but to plead guilty. I am being sentenced in February and I have a couple of pressing questions for my case worker. I’ve been calling the office since Monday 17th. No one answers I’ve left various voicemails and emails and still had no response. This firm has no duty of care for you at all. They are charlatans. They should not be allowed to represent anyone . Avoid them at all costs.
