In 2024 I used an online vehicle finance claims enquiry service after seeing discussion on TV and online about the car finance issue. At the time, the process felt like a general enquiry or request for information rather than entering a formal agreement. Two years later, after contacting Black Horse for an update, I was informed that Courmacs Legal were acting on my behalf and I was later provided with a lengthy agreement that I did not remember completing. This came as a surprise to me and caused a great deal of confusion. Afterwards I reviewed archived versions of the websites involved and personally felt the early stages of the process focused much more on free checks, claim enquiries, compensation information and callback requests than clearly explaining that a formal agreement may later be created. I have since asked the company for further clarification regarding how the agreement was created and processed. I am sharing this review simply so other people take time to carefully review any emails, agreements or documents connected to vehicle finance claims services before submitting their details.
