Somehow found myself allegedly signed up for car finance claims with this company. Kept getting emails and ignored them as thought they were spam. Was given a deadline to respond with further personal information so the claim could continue, such as my maiden name I had the car finance under, address and dates (if I had signed myself up I would have supplied this information at the initial consultation!) I didn’t respond, hoping it would stop when the time lapsed, but then i got emails saying I would be liable to pay for work done on my behalf! I emailed back and said stop, I don’t wish to proceed with any of this and was told I had signed an agreement and the cooling off period had elapsed! If I wish to cancel now I’ll be charged for work carried out on my behalf up until this point! I explained I didn’t authorise any work and they sent me an agreement with a squiggle that doesn’t resemble my signature at all, copy and pasted into multiple areas of a contract. I complained and they said they would put my file on hold whilst they investigate. 4 weeks of stress and anxiety waiting for a resolution only to be told that the IP address matches my home address. They believe this is proof that I’ve signed an agreement! It is absolutely insane how I’ve someone been signed up to something I don’t want, and now my only way out is to pay this company money! I refuse to pay anything and completely dispute signing up. I Have now reported to Action Fraud, the SRA, the legal ombudsman and BBC watchdog. Reading this company’s 1 star reviews on trust pilot demonstrates multiple situations identical to mine. The times have also documented an article about this. Avoid this company at all costs.

In 2024 I used an online vehicle finance claims enquiry service after seeing discussion on TV and online about the car finance issue. At the time, the process felt like a general enquiry or request for information rather than entering a formal agreement. Two years later, after contacting Black Horse for an update, I was informed that Courmacs Legal were acting on my behalf and I was later provided with a lengthy agreement that I did not remember completing. This came as a surprise to me and caused a great deal of confusion. Afterwards I reviewed archived versions of the websites involved and personally felt the early stages of the process focused much more on free checks, claim enquiries, compensation information and callback requests than clearly explaining that a formal agreement may later be created. I have since asked the company for further clarification regarding how the agreement was created and processed. I am sharing this review simply so other people take time to carefully review any emails, agreements or documents connected to vehicle finance claims services before submitting their details.

Unbelievably awful dealings and sign up process that was incredibly unclear. Very quickly became aware contracts had been set up and asked to withdraw. Many months later it had become apparent this hadn’t been done properly. Full complaint made but other than realising my data hadn’t been erased properly, fobbed off in the final response. This company is awful, please avoid.

Today I speak very nice and helpful women. I not remember name But big thanks for understanding my English:). Thank you again

I have found Courmacs legal very unprofessional and I keep being told wrong information even in the final response complaint letter. In my view stay well clear of this company
