We used JP Goldman for our house sale and onward purchase after a personal referral and good reviews online, but our experience was disappointing. Communication was poor from the start. After the initial paperwork there was no contact for 10 days, and I later learned no work had begun as payment hadn’t been requested correctly. Even once funds were paid, progress was slow and emails often went unanswered. The online app never updated beyond “file opened 10th February” and showed limited information. Our buyer eventually withdrew after weeks of delays, and our conveyancer then left the firm with no notice or handover. A new case handler, Anna, was more responsive and helped us complete after seven months in total. Mia Howard, the legal assistant, was also helpful and professional throughout. Overall, communication was inconsistent and frustrating. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend JP Goldman for conveyancing
2nd time using Ali and Christian for a remortgage. Superb service. Great communication. Nothing was too much trouble. 100% recommend to anyone remortgaging

Took 6 months to complete on a first time buyer in no chain on a leasehold property. No communication throughout, kept having to chase up on when various items were being completed. On one call told them I would switch solicitor if I didn't get to speak to the person handling my case, was put on hold then eventually hung up on me. Proceeded to switch and only then got a call and emails from jp goldman stating how things were progressing and moving so i begrudgingly stayed. I wish I had switched from the start and didn't get trapped in when it was too late.
I am currently using JP Goldman for my first property purchase, and unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful. This should be one of the most exciting milestones in my life, but instead it has been overshadowed by a complete lack of communication and support. Over the past three weeks, I have called the firm more than 25 times and have only managed to get through to someone twice. On both occasions, I was promised a call back and assistance in resolving my issues, but no one ever followed up. I also exchanged multiple emails with a representative named Hannah, who has not provided any meaningful updates or confirmation on key matters. Despite agreeing a move-in date three weeks ago, I still have not received any formal confirmation, which is completely unacceptable at this stage of the process. To make matters worse, the vendor has already completed and signed their side of the contracts, meaning the delay is now putting my completion date at risk. I have effectively been left chasing for basic updates with no accountability from the firm. The lack of responsiveness, organisation, and communication has turned what should have been an exciting experience into an incredibly frustrating and stressful one. I would strongly urge anyone considering JP Goldman to think carefully before proceeding. Overall, a very poor experience so far.
We used JP Morgan for the purchase of our first home. While the process itself went relatively smoothly aside from a few minor issues, the aftercare has been extremely disappointing. After completion, we discovered that several items listed to be left at the property in the TA10 Fixtures and Fittings Form and the contents summary were missing. I contacted the firm multiple times to ask for assistance in recovering the value of these items, but my emails have gone unanswered. Initially, both Jake Fielden and Gabby Bruzaite responded and appeared willing to help, but after that point communication completely stopped despite several follow-ups. I have also attempted to call the office and have been left on hold for long periods without being able to speak to anyone. It is extremely frustrating to be ignored after paying significant legal fees and expecting basic support once the transaction has completed.
Allison and Christian handled my remortgage with expertise, managing to get the entire process completed in an extremely short period of time. They kept me well informed throughout snd ensured nothing went amiss, even when details were submitted incorrectly by the bank. An absolute pleasure to deal with.

Absolutely atrocious service from this law firm. Sitting on documents for weeks without review, not responding to emails for weeks despite escalations no action taken and no one picks up the phone to speak to. Please do not use this company.
I honestly can’t thank Alysha Bates at JP Goldman enough for everything she has done throughout my house purchase. Before being assigned to Alysha, I had another solicitor who was making very little progress and was extremely unreliable, which made the whole process stressful and frustrating. From the very first day Alysha took over my case, everything changed. She called me personally to introduce herself, which immediately made me feel reassured and supported. From that point onwards, she worked incredibly hard to get things moving quickly and efficiently. Alysha was always responsive whenever I emailed with questions or needed help with anything, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
