TLDR : Avoid using this company. 4 months since process started and no end in sight. Still trying to resolve issues from 4 months ago

I'll start by saying this is the first time I'm trying to buy a home and a process that is usually annoying and longwinded has become horrible and nerve wracking with these solicitors.

They don't explain anything to you and offer no help with the process whatsoever.

We got to the point where you have to show source of funds and both me and my wife updated our documents. After this I must've had at least 4 emails asking me to send my documents to show source of funds. First I updated older statements but then had no idea what else they needed. I kept asking and getting no reply only to find out after about 3-4 weeks of asking that my conveyancer had been on holiday. Someone else working there took pity on me and told me which other documents they needed. The documents I had to send were very easy to get hold of and I sent them in about 5 mins after I knew what they needed...

We are now about 4 months and 1 week into the process and there is no end in sight. The solicitors are still trying to find out the answers to questions they have been asking for the past 4 months. Every update we get is something like "we had an answer but we're not satisfied". What answer? What are they not satisfied with? Good luck finding out :)
Last thing we did was pay £80ish for some checks however we were "not satisfied" with the result so hey ho...who needs £80 anyway right?

During these 4 months I've asked about 3 times for this to be escalated and have been ignored completely. Two or three times I've asked for someone else to be put in charge of my process and have been ignored.

In conclusion if you actually want to buy a house pick a different solicitor that doesn't just charge you for months of no results.

We had Vikki Kieth who was either never at her desk, as every call went to voicemail. We had to chase emails that we were not receiving almost daily. A straight forward sale turned into a nightmare, costing us a heap of money due to the hold up. The teams number was just a bad. No one ever answered. Instead of sending documents, we hand delivered them, only to find they internally wasn't communicating that they had been handed into reception. Vikki sounds like she does not enjoy her job, is highly unhelpful and when regularly explaining any emails sent via the portal both I and my wife were not receiving, she done nothing to chase this IT query. I would very much avoid these conveyancers and go with the one your estate agents recommends.

After three months of no progress on our purchase Premier Property Lawyers pulled out claiming they didn't have insurance to manage the case due to a nearby watercourse (no flood risk within the property boundary, just a watercourse nearby).

Over a month to get a kick off call, then another two to eventually get dropped, with an email full of typo's. They said our searches had been ordered (they hadn't), which further protracted the delay.

Our purchase is about to fall through as a result of this three month delay.

0/10 avoid if you can, especially if there's water within a mile of your property.

They did not reply to the other solicitors questions in 4 weeks and when they did, they just passed on what I said without adding anything, without adding the legal aspects that were required. They also lost all of my documents and ID and then wanted me to offer my bank statements and financial details AGAIN to a 3rd party company I had no relationship with and who were also not lawyers. How do I know what that info could be used for or passed on. What is the point of them except to take my money and time. I am now struggling to get a refund from them. THEY ARE A JOKE! I moved to a local solicitors and they started working on it immediately and for around the same cost.

would just like to convey how absolutely disgusted I am with the service received. It seems nobody here does what they're supposed to do. On to month 7 of my no chain sale now and the goal posts are constantly changing for completion . Indemnity insurances being quoted for but not actioned, solicitor going on holiday without notice. Every time I call someone different picks up my call, 3 people in a week now.
You severely lack empathy and understanding for people's real-life situations. My buyers will be homeless come Sunday 20th due to your incompetence. I am sitting in a flat with no furniture and having to stay with friends. I will potentially lose my dream home because everyone here seems to incapable of carrying out their job correctly. It's a total shambles, when and if.... This fiasco is ever finalised ; I will go onto seek advice from an ombudsman or whoever governs so called solicitors like yourselves. You are messing with people's lives and finances without a care in the world.
This whole process has felt like a roller coaster ride, more lows than highs. It's effected my mental health and left me feeling distressed and anxious.
I seriously wish I'd read your 1 reviews before even considering your services recommended by Yopa, who must be in it for the commission!!!

Both I and the seller were with these for our Conveyancers and the whole process of buying house took well over 8 months and in the end the seller had his house repossessed which meant the Sale fell through. They did not give me my money back even though I was waiting for them to provide me documents.

Very very bad. You can’t call anyone and keeps going to voicemail, you have to keep chasing them to do their job and they treat you like a criminal

No communication. No interest in getting anything done on time. Lack of knowledge on case. Keep adding extras onto the bill. Taken more than twice the time it should have for a service where I ended up doing all the chasing. If I could have sacked them I would have.

The only positive thing is that they are polite in their communications. However, we were assigned a solicitor who worked from home (as they probably all do these days) which turned out to be a justification for her not to print nor phone. They do not read the legal documents they send, but simply limit themselves to forwarding documents back and forth. Several times I ended-up having to decipher the contents on my own as apparently my solicitor had issues with her eyesight!? Several queries we had went unnoticed, which obliged me to phone at which point she appeared to fall from the clouds. At one point I had to contact the Land Registry myself (3 times) to clarify matters she didn't understand! After 3 months of this, we complained to her managers but didn't get anywhere. Not only did we pay the full amount, but GBP100 more than what initially quoted!!! Abysmal service
