Was signed up to by Sophie by James Belderbos but she wouldn't argue my case, had me fill out a form E whilst the opposition didn't ask to do so as to keep costs down etc and had a two month period of being busy or on holiday. James took over my divorce case after Sophie decided she couldn't work with my case. James agreed that what Sophie agreed to paying my ex spouse wasn't acceptable. James took over the case and did fight my corner so no complaints there but there was errors on the final form E that I didn't agreed to and mistakes that weren't mine but I footed the bill just to expedite the process. There's no options in the below as to "How you would describe this firm". My advise to individuals going through a divorce is to shop around and not panic when you get told you need a solicitor.

Excellent advice and much appreciated calmness when Sophie had to deal with my ex husband's interesting approach to things at times. Clear information and great communication. Would highly recommend to anyone who might just want to know what they are entitled to from a divorce settlement. At times I was under a great deal of pressure from my ex husband to agree to things regarding finances but Sophie encouraged me to hold out and I will always be grateful for this.

I wanted expert advice face to face locally. I was able to meet with James quickly and have a productive meeting at which the pros and cons and issues with prenuptial agreements were well covered. My own circumstances and aims were well understood and reflected back in the brief from the meeting. Subsequently a key point of issue (with the pre nup) was discussed and resolved to my satisfaction. I did think there’d be more lawyer to lawyer discussion on the draft but to be fair a ‘round table’ approach had been proposed and on reflection that may have saved time and cost. I was satisfied with the prenuptial agreement signed off.
