the biggest mistake of my life.
the biggest mistake of my life was using tyto law. absolutely useless and incompetent. Oliver Saxon was totally useless,he advertises he is a probate solicitor,but did not have a clue what he was doing. It actually took him 5 months to send me his terms and conditions,and when i finally received them he had actually made up my instructions,without ever discussing them with me. He actually put that he was doing my will and managing my late partners estate and he was going to charge me 45000 pounds to do so. Again,all without my say so.these were most definately NOT my instructions,just something Oliver Saxon made up. when it came to the inheritance tax he did not even know he needed to fill in forms for st.james place,instead he just sent them a letter asking them to pay the inheritance tax. Absolutely shocking, and when he did receive the forms he and his staff could not even fill the forms in correctly. it got that bad that one of his employees Libby contacted a third party who doesnt work for tyto law and asked them to check the forms because they had been filled out wrong twice.Shocking from a company that is meant to deal with probate. Everything Saxon and his company did was slow,taking weeks to do even the simplest things,and never ever updating me,if i wanted to know anything i had to do the chasing. It even took Saxon until 18th february to let me know how much it was going to cost me using his horrendous company,this was just after he was trying by email into my paying him the 45000 pounds,until then he did not let me know the cost. i have the emails confirming this.i recorded all meetings and phone calls with Saxon,for my protection,and so i can report him to the SRA. And it is still going on,even though probate was eventually sorted,i received an invoice for my late partners financial deputy, this was paid in full,by me,just over 10,000 pounds on the 6th August, and up to today the 27th August he has not given this money to the financial deputy,instead keeping it in their account. if all this sounds like someone you want to use,then be my guest,or,learn from my mistake,because by the time you realise just how bad Oliver Saxon and tyto law are,it is too late and you are stuck,because if you sack them,you have to start from the beginning with another firm.
