Poor level of service

I am a solicitor myself (working in a different area of law) and instructed Mr Habib Choudhury on a routine landlord and tenant matter, being the non-payment of rent. His initial response was quite quick and he asked for first £300 and then £450 up-front. However, after the first advice there was no follow-up at all and he did not take the action he advised (issuing certain notices). It was also impossible to get an invoice out of him. I am really sorry to say this, but please don't use him.

FRAUDERS!

Keep away they are FRAUDERS! once you transfer the money (and they ask to trasnfer all beforehand) to them they dissapear and ignore the emails! after 3 weeks of chasing I informed them of a legal action and they referred me to the clause of their Terms of Appointment which states READ CAREFULLY: "The above said payment is the minimum fee payable upon this matter and will be payable in full whether or not you decide to proceed forward with the matter for any reason after receipt of payment. Additionally any subsequent payments received will be payable in full irrespective of how much time has been actually utilised and no refund will be due for any unused time."

So it basically means once you pay them you lose your money and have no service provided or response.

Unprofessional and incompetent

Very slow solicitors. Takes ages to do anything and they 're not keeping you informed. When you're communicating your concerns you're just receiving a response that all is going to be fine and not to worry. As a result of their incompetence our county court judgement was paid late and now it appears on our credit reports and we can't even get a phone due to bad record. They said that they will cut a deal and we need to wait.
