No application to the Land Registry after sale - incompetent
I completed a sale using Fellowes two years ago and only discovered upon remortgaging this year that they had not made an application to Land Registry notifying them of the sale. This is a massive oversight as I was essentially paying a mortgage on a property I didn’t technically own.
After contacting them multiple times I managed to get through, they made some poor excuses that they had follow up questions with the freeholder that hadn’t been responded to (I highly doubt this). Seems like it’s an excuse that they’re using for other similar instances. The partner on the case (Marielyne Butler) hasn’t even had the decency to correspond with me, she’s fobbed me off to her trainee solicitor.
The actions of this firm do not upload the SRA principles, very disappointing and not the worth the money they are charging.
