Lawlane Solicitors is withholding my inheritance while I starve.
I’m a beneficiary of my late mother’s estate. I live abroad, and for the past six months, I’ve been begging Lawlane Solicitors to release funds. I’m now in crisis — behind on rent, in debt, and recently went without dinner because I can’t afford food. My pets are losing weight. I’ve repeatedly told them this, and they simply don’t care.
Instead of helping, they’ve ignored my emails, refused to provide written updates, and tried to trap me into phone calls I can’t attend due to poor internet access. They actually warned me not to contact senior staff — because their time might be charged to the estate.
But here’s what’s worse: they already paid themselves over £5,000 out of a £13,000 surplus. That’s nearly half the available funds. Yet they say there isn’t enough for me. My share is less than what they took, and still — nothing.
This is cruelty. This is negligence. And this is how Lawlane Solicitors treats people who are grieving and desperate. I’ve now filed formal complaints with the Legal Ombudsman and the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and I’m sharing my story because this shouldn’t happen to anyone else.
