We were recommended by Prickett & Ellis estate agents to engage Layzells. Initially all started well and there was a period when our appointed conveyancer, Leonie Bentley was covered by Rudina Ganaj in May 2025 covering holidays. The communication with Rudina vastly improved and there was prompt and explained changes between us. In addition to this holiday period there was also another holiday period where there was no cover provided. Across the whole period from shortly after engaging with Layzells through to July when we paid abortive invoices having been alerted by Prickett & Ellis that 5 months on there were still at least 13 issues unaddressed as regards our sale without any indication from Layzells as to when exchange, let alone completion would take place. Not even to say it will be this year!
The other comments below also apply and add more context to a decision we reluctantly took out of sheer frustration we cancelled our sale and a purchase. This decision followed an earlier notification sent to Layzells imploring them to explain what the delays are which was not addressed.
