Domestic abuse case

Shabana at Shortlands and her paralegal Wajiha have been fantastic throughout my 3 years ordeal in Family court. Shabana has immense experience and is highly skillful and is gives her 100%. I felt thoroughly supported at every step at multiple hearings.
She is very approachable , has excellent to the point communication and available to answer all your questions.
Shabana and her team at Shortlands work round the clock to deliver successful outcomes.
She gently guided me with sharp legal acumen and clarity through multiple hearings and was able to choose the right barristers, keeping the costs as low as possible.
I was successful in fact finding hearings for child care arrangement and got justice in financial remedial case with clean break and I thank Shortlands for it.

Shortland Solicitors

During my initial inquiries looking for a divorce solicitor, I realised that big franchise solicitors were not suitable for me.

I had no idea how to find a good divorce solicitor, but I finally came across Shortlands Solicitors.

I chose Shortlands Solicitors because Shabana and her team, Wajiha and Rouslan, were very quick to respond to my initial inquiry. After my first meeting, Shabana answered all of my questions and covered everything I needed to know. She advised on what the process would be and explained the first steps forward.

From then onwards, they were always quick to respond back to me and kept me updated. They were quick, efficient and kind.

I highly recommend Shabana and her team and I would like to say a big thank you for making sure I had the best possible outcome.

Exceptional Legal Support

I have had the privilege of working with Mr. Alastair Geoffrey Dobbie, an outstanding solicitor who played a pivotal role in securing favourable judgments in my case against a leaseholder with multiple breaches. His expertise and guidance were invaluable throughout the entire process. Some of the Mr Dobbie’s qualities as a solicitor which stood out in my own situation were:

1. Expert Advice and Strategic Navigation: Alastair’s legal acumen was evident from our first consultation. He meticulously analysed the complexities of our case, identifying key legal points and crafting a robust strategy. His ability to navigate the intricate web of property law was truly impressive.
2. Strong Relationship with Counsel: Alastair’s established relationship with counsel proved to be a game-changer. He effectively communicated with counsel, ensuring that our concerns were heard and addressed promptly. His diplomatic approach fostered cooperation and facilitated smoother proceedings.
3. Honesty and Focus: Alastair kept me grounded throughout the process. His candid feedback and insistence on focusing on the core issues prevented distractions. He encouraged me to stay honest about the facts and maintain clarity, even when emotions ran high.
4. Transparency and Fairness: Transparency was a hallmark of Alastair’s practice. He explained each step of the legal process, demystifying jargon and ensuring I understood my rights and responsibilities. His fairness extended to cost considerations—there were no surprises, and his billing was transparent and reasonable.

In summary, Mr. Dobbie’s unwavering commitment, legal prowess, and ethical approach make him an exceptional solicitor. I wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone seeking top-tier legal representation.
