      After seven years of struggling to settle my parents’ assets in India, I was exhausted and at a complete standstill. My situation was complicated by an uncompromising relative, legal confusion regarding the jurisdiction of Wills, and a property that had fallen into a state of severe disrepair, creating dangerous health hazards for the local community. ​I reached out to Nasreen Akhter as a last resort, and it is no exaggeration to say she changed everything. Her expertise in Wills and Probate is truly exceptional. Following a single, strategic letter from Nasreen, the long-standing impasse was broken. The relative who had been blocking progress for years finally cooperated, paving the way for me to secure my rightful inheritance. ​Nasreen’s approach was so efficient and authoritative that the executors of my father’s estate—one of whom is a practicing barrister—have since retained her to handle the UK probate process. I cannot recommend Nasreen highly enough; she turned a desperate, years-long struggle into a clear path toward resolution.

      Thank you for taking the time to write this. Seven years is a long time to carry something like this, and I'm glad we found a way through it. Cross-border estates are rarely straightforward, particularly where there are questions over which jurisdiction a will falls under and a property that needs dealing with urgently. Every matter is different, but a clear, well-timed letter often achieves more than years of back and forth. It has been a pleasure to act for you, and I'm grateful for the confidence the executors have since placed in us with the UK probate. If anything else comes up as things progress, you know where we are.
