I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from Kirkwoods.
Their biggest problem is lack of communication. It takes them too long to respond. Mr Bradly will make a commitment to respond the query by the end of the day, but never does that. I was informed by Mr Bradly that my case will be expedite. I have requested the proof on numerous occasions without any success. Every time I called Mr Brady, I was told that the case was expedite, but when i finally checked myself with Land Registry, that was a lie. So disappointed with the service I received from Kirkwwods. I will never recommend them to anyone from my family or friends.

As a former solicitor myself I am very careful about who I use for legal procedures I can’t do myself. So I was delighted when on recommendation I used Sheena Shah at Kirkwoods for the sale of my late mother’s flat. At a time of stress, both due to my mother’s death and the Covid pandemic, it was a great relief to feel I was in truly capable hands. Sheena knows exactly what she is doing and I could trust her completely.

Sheena is very experienced and knowledgeable. She was able to reassure me completely when things got difficult, which they did due to a quirk of my mother’s legal title and other issues that arose. She is pragmatic and explained everything to me that I didn’t understand and was tough when she needed to be but realistic as well. She replied to every email straight away, it was excellent. She is also a really lovely person.

I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again and highly recommend her to everyone.

We were recommended by a friend to use Derek Englander at Kirkwoods for our house purchase. From start to finish we found him very helpful, knowledgable and very professional. He helped us through a very stressful time and managed to iron out any doubts in an extremely efficient manner.

I’ve used Kirkwoods, specifically Mr Englander, several times over the past 13 years and have found him to be an excellent and thorough solicitor, able to identify potential issues and talk me through all possible solutions in a way I understand. I find him to be polite, honest and approachable. I trust his work and would highly recommend him for property sales/purchases.

This company looked after my Stanmore relatives for over 60 years. They were apparently very good for most of that time but when we came to use them two years ago after their death we found them, like the other reviewers, to be uncommunicative and slow. The basic product was sound and the people friendly enough but I got the impression its a one horse operation. And the horse goes on holiday a lot.
I would give them another star (an OK rating) were it not for the provision (not a recommendation) of a list of financial advisors one of whom who proved in my view unsatisfactory (from St James Place Financial). The list should have been more closely scrutinised in my opinion. Apart from this they seem competent.
