Myself and Tom wanted to write a review of our experience with Leathes Prior as it was nothing but exceptional, this was only made possible by Madison King. From start to finish we were kept informed, updated and never made to feel silly for asking questions! As a first time buyer the process can be very overwhelming and stressful but Madison handled everything with perfect amount of attention, diligence and care that we wanted.
Our estate agents called us around 9.30 on the completion day saying “it’s the earliest they have ever had the call” which was brilliant news for us!
We understand there is a wider team and those I spoke to were so helpful and kind but Madison was 5 stars throughout. Thank you again!

I’ve just come to the end of a complex and emotionally charged legal battle that spanned over 2.5 years. I was represented throughout by the outstanding team at Leathes Prior, beginning with Simon Willis and later continuing under the guidance of Harry Mayne. I honestly could not have asked for better representation.
From the outset, Simon provided a steady, knowledgeable hand that helped me begin to navigate what would prove to be a very challenging divorce and financial settlement process. As my case evolved, Harry stepped in and carried it through to conclusion with a level of care, professionalism and strategic clarity that I will forever be grateful for.
My case was far from straightforward—it involved not only a long-standing relationship and shared property, but also a particularly tactical and cunning opposition who employed manipulative and often obstructive tactics at every turn. Despite this, Harry remained calm, focused and legally sharp, always one step ahead. He explained my rights clearly, guided me through every stage, and ensured that I always understood my options and the likely outcomes.
What really stood out was how human they both were throughout. They didn’t just treat my case like a file on their desk—they understood how personal, painful and important it was to me. I always felt heard and respected, and I was consistently kept informed and updated as things progressed. That kind of empathy combined with expertise is rare, and it made all the difference.
Crucially, they secured a settlement for me that was over 300% higher than what I had been offered out of court. That figure alone speaks volumes about the strength of their negotiation, legal understanding, and dedication to achieving justice. I haven't bought or sold a house for a very long time, but my experience of this transaction with Lily Beel, from Leathes Prior, acting on my behalf, has been overwhelmingly positive.
The advice, counsel and guidance was absolutely first class, the communication was excellent and overall it was an utterly professional and courteous service and experience.
Even when we hit a little bit of a wobble, Lily remained calm and ensured we got over the line in good time.
Highly recommended and I wouldn't go anywhere else for conveyancing in the future.
