Going through a divorce is one of the hardest things I've ever faced, and from the very first conversation, I felt like I was in genuinely safe hands. Laura was outstanding from start to finish. She guided me through every step of the process with real clarity and expertise, but what made the biggest difference was how much she cared about me as a person, not just a case. She took the time to understand what I was going through emotionally, not just legally, and that made an enormous difference during such a difficult chapter of my life. The team supporting her were just as brilliant, always responsive, kind, and reassuring whenever I needed them. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and I always felt heard and looked after. My divorce was a complex case involving pensions and assets abroad, I therefore, knew from the outset that I needed a very experienced and knowledgeable solicitor. I chose Andrew Meehan and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him and his team at HFL. Andrew is thoroughly professional, a great communicator, responding quickly to emails, his letters are well-structured and concise. When emotions were riding high, his confident, no-nonsense approach and exacting advice when dealing with tricky situations, always gave me the utmost confidence. When Andrew was on annual leave, Rebekah Maher (solicitor) was always available. Softly spoken, understanding and empathetic, Rebekah is also very competent, utterly reliable and a credit to the team. Divorce can be a horrendous thing, especially whilst dealing with my narcissist ex. Andrew and Rebekah were clear, calm, consistent, quick to react when needed, exceptionally thorough, wonderfully supportive and with that they kept my head held high. It's tough out there. Don't mess around just call Harrogate Family Law!!! You don't need to go elsewhere.....

Laura at HFL was a pleasure to work with through a very difficult time, and the whole team pulled out all the stops when it was needed. One of the main strong points was that Laura always responded quickly (unlike the other side) and if she was unable to, this was made clear. She was also very reassuring when I needed emotional support. The fees involved in divorce, especially if it goes to court, are astronomical, and I cannot make comparisons; all I can say is that HFL kept me fully informed of the situation regarding anticipated costs and the likely benefits of continuing. The comments we had from the other side regarding Laura's tenacity and acumen were testimony to her as a solicitor. I would recommend her and her team highly .
