I have chatted with Holly Lowe and met Mr Dillon (who valued my Property). Both were approachable and spoke normal (not legal) english which made the whole experience very easy to understand. It was expensive by opinion but I don't know the going rates to compare.
I first employed the services of Gilroy Steel (Solicitors) some 11 years ago and was impressed with their service provided. Earlier this year I required my Will to be updated and used their services again. This time under the care of Solicitor Melanie Knight. I found the care and attention given by Melanie to the detail of my requirements was excellent with detailed comments of matters arising.
The whole team were so helpful, quick and efficient throughout the whole process of equity release. The home visit by Becky Rea was so convenient, efficient and everything that followed was very quick.

I can’t thank Lauren Miller at Gilroy Steel Solicitors enough for her help. I had a really bad experience with Gilroy Steel when selling and buying a house with them. The communication was ZERO so it was incredibly poor despite sending several emails to communicate. The office looking after my sale and purchase was the furthest office away from the location I live, when there was an office in the town that I live. I thought that was really badly organised. All the forms was paper based which seems very prehistoric for a 2022 law firm. I ended up cancelling Gilroy Steel and choosing different solicitors as my experience was that poor.
Hi, thank you for your feedback and we will review. Regarding paper forms these do prevent cyber crime and guard against email scams, as you may had heard one of the largest property firms had its systems wiped out and/or data stolen and near no access for about a month or so not long back.
