2 Wills and 4 Lasting Power of Attorney's

First contact with April King was very positive. I explained my husband and myself both wanted to make new wills and arrange Lasting Power of Attorney's for both of us. I received through the post a guide to explain "How to Protect Your Legacy", which we found very informative and gave us a lot to think about.
An hour's telephone appointment was arranged with Martin Jones a few days later. He was very professional, listened to our suggestions, asked lots of questions, gave us some recommendations. He made sure we understood everything and told us we could contact him if we had any more questions. All the completed documents were received, agreed, signed by us and returned. Just a slight hiccup, which was quickly sorted out. We now await completion of the process
We have been very happy with our Solicitor and with the whole April King experience.

We required two mirrored wills to replace our old and outdated ones.
We had in our minds numerous concerns and questions and issues we did not understand.
We chose to go to a firm of solicitors but that in turn was a concern regarding the cost and if it would spiral!!
We had two video meetings in total, the first of which was a refreshing discussion with all our questions and misconceptions explained and enabled us to finalise how we wanted our will’s to be fulfilled. The second video call was to review the completed will’s, and they were first class.
As for the cost, there were no “spiralling costs, only a one off price which was very fare. All in all, one of our best decisions, a brilliant and very reassuring experience and outcome.

We wanted to have a will that protected the money we have from inheritance tax and care home fees. We also wanted to ensure our money went to our grandchildren when our daughters died.
Elise Rhodes clearly and simply explained what we could do and the limits of the will.
Elise contacted us again once we had the chance to read the draft wills to explain the legal language and to answer any questions we had.
We are now waiting for our redrafted wills with some small changes which we fully expect to sign.

An excellent and professional service..
We wanted to update our wills and April King were recommended to us. Paul understood our requirements, using examples to ensure everything was clear, and guided us through the process in professional manner. He was able to suggest the correct clauses to include in our wills and on receipt Elise walked us through each clause to ensure everything was understood. We feel confident that April King will be able to assist our loved ones further whenever needed. A well deserved 5 star rating. Thank you.

We visited to update our wills in a face to face consultation with Catriona .
She impressed us as a confident and competent professional .
Catriona expressed herself with clarity of communication and, more importantly, in plain English.
She is very knowledgeable and informative and so we feel much relieved now we have consulted with her .
We believe her to be an excellent ambassador for the firm and we have no problem with highly recommending April King and will continue to use the firm as and whenever necessary.
It was a great pity that had to go to Nottingham to do it as their Leicester office is now closed.
