Very pleased with the service my wife and I received. The firm of solicitors that produced our wills long ago had ceased operating; we needed to re-cast our wills, and also to create lasting powers of attorney (LPAs). Elaine was very professional, helpful and friendly, and she has excellent support from Amanda and Rubi. My wife said was very pleased to deal with a firm which isn�t �stuffy�. All our meetings were at Airport House, though Elaine is willing to travel to clients� homes if necessary. The wills and LPAs are now set up to our satisfaction. During the process, I asked Elaine for help on an unrelated issue, and she happily did this. We have no idea of typical charges for this kind of work, but we feel that it was money well spent for a courteous, efficient service and peace of mind. You can, of course, produce a will and LPA by yourself, but it is better to involve a professional, especially with pitfalls like the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) changing their forms halfway through the process. My parents had been with their previous firm of solicitors in Croydon since the 1960s so I had absolutely no prior knowledge of B&L Solicitors (who took over part of their business) until receiving a letter informing me the previous company had closed. Any concerns I may have had very soon disappeared. Their solicitors are obviously highly experienced in their field. The advice I received from Elaine was very thorough, accurate and concise but the most important thing for me, it was always completely honest advice. If she felt something was unnecessary she told me, even if it meant the company losing a potential fee charging opportunity. The �front line� staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I dealt mostly with Amanda and something that stood out was the fact that she always came back to me when she said she would, even it was simply to apologise for a delay. A quality sadly lost by so many businesses today.
