I recently completed the sale of my property using Crown Law Solicitors, and unfortunately the experience fell well short of what I expect from a professional legal service. Over the course of the transaction I dealt with five different team members, and the handovers were clearly incomplete. On several occasions a newly assigned solicitor told me they would have acted differently from the previous one. This inconsistency directly contributed to delays and confusion. A major example was the issue of fire safety and asbestos documentation. As sellers of a freehold with common areas, we later learned this was a legal requirement. Rather than advising us of this from the outset, the team accepted our comment that the documents weren’t provided when we bought four years earlier and proceeded on that basis. This oversight alone delayed the sale by more than a month and left us feeling that we weren’t receiving proactive or accurate legal guidance. We also struggled with lack of direction and support on key documents. We were left to complete complex forms, such as the stock transfer, without guidance, resulting in errors and rework. We weren’t provided with printed copies when needed, even during a period when we had made it clear that arranging this ourselves was personally difficult. Many queries were written in dense legal language without layman’s explanation, creating unnecessary back-and-forth. At multiple points we were told we had provided everything required, only for the team to later request additional documents, some of which (like a mortgage statement or PEP form) should have been identified much earlier. Communication was another major pain point. Phone calls were answered less than 10% of the time, and despite repeated requests we often received new emails instead of replies to existing threads, making it hard to track conversations. When issues arose, there was a reluctance to accept responsibility, with blame frequently directed toward internal or external parties. To their credit, individuals were polite throughout; but politeness alone doesn’t compensate for a process that felt fragmented, reactive, and lacking in clear ownership. I hope Crown Law takes this feedback seriously and strengthens their processes around communication, handovers, documentation requirements, and client guidance. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend their services.

In the past 6 years I have dealt with many many solicitors. And i had just accepted that they had all been trained to purposely delay everything and everything wherever possible. . . Almost like it was in their job description to reply to an email once a week and drag out cases as long as possible, whilst causing clients stress and frustration and probably affecting their lives. That was until Romeo got handed my case. I have never had a more efficient solicitor in my life. He answers calls when you ring, deals with emails straight away, and his knowledge is on point. I almost feel like other solicitors feel intimidated by him. He took my disaster of a sale and got us over every hurdle. I am recommending him to everyone I know.
