My experience with the solicitors on the whole was exceptional. I initially engaged with the solictiors in April upon my arrest. For a period of 2 years I was physically abused, controlled and coerced and had prescribed medication withheld. There were also more forms to the abuse that is difficult to share. From this, my former partner, tried to turn things by trying to get me into trouble and making me look like the perpetrator. She alleged that I was stalking her. Taking the proactive approach, I searched for defence solicitors. This is where I came across Eventum Legal. When I looked at their website I came across pre charge representations. I decided to call them to discuss this further and see how they could assist. I spoke to various different solicitors but I have to admit none of them left the impression on me that Eventum did. When I phoned, Claire answered and gave me further advice about what it is they do, how they could help and was clear with costings. I said that I would liase with the police more as I didn't want to sign up to something if I didn't need to, and liase with my Dad as he would be assisting with the cost. Eventually after a lack of success with the police, I phoned Eventum again in June and we got things started. Claire, Jessica and Sylvie was quick to send everything across. Claire phoned me soon after to say that she was already in contact with the officer in charge and was updating me on my attendance to the police station and the extension of conditions. Claire also immediately got onto attaining my character references to assist with the representations. Jenna was the solicitor assigned to my case. A conference was organised where Jenna spent time getting to understand me, the situation and the background to everything. There was a coinciding police report from myself after I had the courage to come forward. Jenna although this wasn't necessarily under her jurisdiction was offering advice where possible with this. After this, she started to put together my defence representations. Throughout, she was liasing with the officer in charge to understand the police's intentions. She was able to find out that the case was going to the CPS and when this was, sending my defence representations to the officer in charge to attach to their case file as well as contacting the CPS directly to ensure that they have the representations. I was throughout receiving clear and concise advice. Myself and my Dad aren't the easiest people to deal with. I suffer from OCD and at this stage, potential autism. I question things constantly. The situation itself was stressful of course, but this was always accepted by Claire and Jenna and they were happy to assist. My Dad was a concerned parent and when your son is in a tough spot the stress level increases. Jenna managed this accordingly. Eventually I did receive the news that I was hoping for and I was notified that the case was no further action. The feeling at this moment was indescribable. I phoned the office immediately and Claire answered who I informed and her response was genuinely the nicest thing. She told me how passionate they were at Eventum Legal with my case as they truly felt this was position that I didn't deserve to find myself within. Jenna was at a conference at the time but she phoned immediately after and you could tell how pleased she was through her voice. Whilst this all of this might be their jobs, you could tell that they genuinely care. I couldn't have achieved this without Eventum Legal and anybody that is unfortunate enough to find themselves in a similar position, I would highly recommend that you work with Eventum Legal. They are worth every penny, and more. Thanks for everything and I wish everyone at Eventum Legal the best for the future
