Today I was represented by Jen, we firstly met for 9:30 and my hearing was at 10. The meeting consisted of Jen running myself and my Mum through everything. This meant before I went into my hearing I was extremely calm, unlike before when I wasn’t represented. During the hearing Jen was extremely thorough with the facts she put forward to the bench, even when the bench were in discussion Jen came over to me whilst I was waiting for a decision to say “it’s okay they are going with the best possible outcome, it’s going well.” This again made me feel calm and most definitely reassured me just as you want to be when you go through something like this. Jen was seriously outstanding from start to finish and I cannot recommend her highly enough. I could tell Jen was genuinely happy for me when we left the court room as she gave me hug and all of my family, this showed me that she genuinely cared and wanted to get the best possible result she could for me. Gareth Needs and his team were very helpful and clear in all the advise given. They were as much concerned about my personal welfare as much as the criminal case I was accused of. Hopefully I wont need his help again but would recommend him to anyone else who found themselves in the same situation I was in.
