After a bad experience with a Solicitor that I had been recommended to by a friend I had the good fortune to call Johnson Astills solicitors at random. My initial appointment was with Helen Johnson who set out how WE were going to conduct my case. I felt that I got more out of that one meeting with her than I had gained from the last six months with my previous solicitor. As things progressed, Olivia Peck handled much of the work on my case. Olivia was equally professional and for whom nothing was too much trouble. She also was straight talking and made me feel that I was her most important client and who would always call me back if for whatever reason she couldn’t accept my call. After a lot of hard work by all that were involved with my case we got the very best result that I could possibly have wished for. Well done Johnson Astills. Ten out of ten, gold star and a tick.

Jamie Simner sets the standard for criminal defence solicitors and gives calm, measured, and accurate advice when you need it most. Having been into my life at my lowest point following arrest, Jamie was initially the reassuring voice on the end of the phone, and a short while later the well dressed and well spoken defence representative who efficiently translated my panicked account into a coherent defence and the right advice for the situation. His knowledge of what would likely be asked in interview paid dividends as I was able to confidently field the questions put to me. Jamie’s organisation is second to none and over the course of a 2 year sustained period, he continued to respond to my queries and worries as though it was his highest priority. I was particularly impressed by Jamie’s ability to summarise high volumes of detailed legal jargon in a concise manner making it easier to digest. As my case progressed I remained confident of my acquittal in part due to Jamie’s expertise and tenacity, as well as his excellent relationships with high calibre barristers.
