Lamb, Bell and Joynson defended me when I was taken to trial for 5 very serious offences. After months of great work from them I ended with a not guilty verdict on all charges. Peter Haney was a brilliant solicitor throughout. He was professional and very knowledgeable. I spoke with him multiple times, both in person and on teams, in the 18 months leading to the trail. He helped me through pre trial hearings and writing my defence statement. He was able to answer any questions I had and 2 weeks before my trial we had a long phone call where I was able to ask him all the questions I had on my mind. He was also a stabilising and calming figure as I waited for my verdict. Lisa McNeill was my barrister during the trial and she is incredibly talented at her job. She ensured I understood every part of the trial as it was happening. Her cross examinations of each witness were thorough and her skills here were decisive on my eventual not guilty verdict. She was able to break down each piece of evidence detailing how it could be used in my defence and how the prosecution would use it against me. She also listened to my opinions on how to conduct the trial and I really felt as though I had a voice in my own defence. On a personal level, I found Lisa and Peter to be lovely people who were a joy to be around despite the circumstances. While I hope to never require the services of Bell, Lamb and Joynson again, it was an honour to be represented by such kind, intelligent and professional people.
