Absence from work covers how sickness, annual leave, or other authorised or unauthorised absences affect your job. A solicitor in this area helps you understand your rights when you are sick or unavailable, and how employers can manage attendance fairly under employment law. They handle issues such as fit-for-work assessments, sick pay, annual leave accrual, and disciplinary or dismissal steps connected to absence. The focus is on protecting your employment status while complying with the law.

Naomi Ireson

Tagged solicitor Naomi Ireson

Quick communication, measured advice and I felt confident in adhering to Naomis suggestions. Naomi was confident of a successful outcome from the outset and this was reassuring and ultimately she was successful in my case. I would recommend Naomi personally and due to my positive experience I will also be using Slee and Blackwell for other services.

Anna Jane Louisa Neil

Tagged solicitor Anna Jane Louisa Neil

I was advised Maitland Walker by my employer. It was a bit of a niche situation that I needed advice on, and although the situation changed, Anna straight away had a number of solutions. She also helped to drive the process from both sides of the situation, whilst always having a clear understanding and care of the situation. In the nicest way I hope I never have to use them again, but I 100% would use them if needed.
