Adoption leave covers employees who adopt a child, giving them a right to take extended leave before and after placement. It is the UK-wide entitlement linked to Statutory Adoption Pay for those who meet the earnings and employment conditions. A solicitor helps clients understand eligibility, timing, and notice obligations, and to secure the right to return after leave. They also advise on pay entitlements and how adoption leave interacts with other parental rights and employer policies.

Naomi Ireson

Tagged solicitor Naomi Ireson

Quick communication, measured advice and I felt confident in adhering to Naomis suggestions. Naomi was confident of a successful outcome from the outset and this was reassuring and ultimately she was successful in my case. I would recommend Naomi personally and due to my positive experience I will also be using Slee and Blackwell for other services.

Anna Jane Louisa Neil

Tagged solicitor Anna Jane Louisa Neil

I was advised Maitland Walker by my employer. It was a bit of a niche situation that I needed advice on, and although the situation changed, Anna straight away had a number of solutions. She also helped to drive the process from both sides of the situation, whilst always having a clear understanding and care of the situation. In the nicest way I hope I never have to use them again, but I 100% would use them if needed.
