Self employment covers people who work for themselves rather than as employees, including sole traders and independent contractors. A solicitor in this area helps with drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, terms of engagement and payment provisions, and with issues around tax status and deductions. They assist in pursuing unpaid invoices, resolving disputes with clients or agencies, and advising on remedies such as small-claims or civil litigation, as well as advising on how to protect trade secrets and intellectual property.

Naomi Ireson

Tagged solicitor Naomi Ireson

Quick communication, measured advice and I felt confident in adhering to Naomis suggestions. Naomi was confident of a successful outcome from the outset and this was reassuring and ultimately she was successful in my case. I would recommend Naomi personally and due to my positive experience I will also be using Slee and Blackwell for other services.

Anna Jane Louisa Neil

Tagged solicitor Anna Jane Louisa Neil

I was advised Maitland Walker by my employer. It was a bit of a niche situation that I needed advice on, and although the situation changed, Anna straight away had a number of solutions. She also helped to drive the process from both sides of the situation, whilst always having a clear understanding and care of the situation. In the nicest way I hope I never have to use them again, but I 100% would use them if needed.
