This review is for both my lawyer solicitor Rachel Diorio and paralegal Olivia Peck. As a team, their knowledge and experience provided superior representation to the authorities and in court. All communications were made in a timely fashion and in caring, understanding language that often immediately putting me at ease. When I found myself in deep and frightening legal trouble, I first met Ms Peck as an aid in the police station. She was already prepared on the background events and told me to state the truth. Her very presence in a terrifying unfamiliar situation and simple guidance during over the following weeks on bail were so very welcome, patient, and sincere that I chose to stay with the Johnson Astills for representation of my case in court. The Paralegal, even over the holidays, became a life-line in that my worries and questions were addressed quickly via telephone and email. There were instances when Ms Peck provided significantly sound advice regarding procedures and the meaning of claims that made possible the retention of my employment and my mental health. I grew to have complete confidence in Ms Peck's advice and directions. When the hearing dates came, I was introduced to my lawyer, Ms Diorio, who also took great care in listening and patiently reading my many words, providing another life-line as one struggles to control their situation. The solicitor's expertise was demonstrated in several instances as we prepared for court and again during two hearings, ultimately leading to the best outcome possible for me. It is the mark of an expert to cut through the details and focus on that which will become most relevant to the goal. Ms Diorio not only understood well the sutbleties of my situation but identified those facts to be placed in evidence that mattered most to the magistrates. Arrest, court orders, hearings, it was all new to me and these two individuals made me feel respected and cared for, without judgment, as though my personal understanding, my life and my future were important to them. I cannot thank them enough--highly recommended.
