Law firms ranked by client reviews

Housing disrepair covers tenant claims against a landlord for faults in a rented home that affect habitability, safety or comfort. A solicitor typically assesses the problem, gathers evidence, arranges a survey, and drafts and serves a claim in the county court for repairs, compensation or rent reduction. They advise on timelines, negotiate settlements, and can pursue enforcement if the landlord does not remedy the disrepair promptly.

Why this work is usually handled by a solicitor

A regulated professional provides certainty through expertise, professional indemnity insurance, and rights of audience in appropriate proceedings, ensuring the claim is properly framed, evidence clearly presented, and damages or remedial orders pursued with accountability.

Kiri Kkoshi

Tagged solicitor Kiri Kkoshi

Jane Baker, Vicki Lambert, and the whole wonderful conveyancing team at Healys (Kiri, Sam, Mariana, Alfie, and Kimberley to name a few!) have been our absolute heroes through the complex sale of our flat and purchase of our first house. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that this team are some of my absolute favourite people, and I trust them entirely. They are fantastically skilled at their jobs, give timely insightful communication, and are deeply caring. Being part of a chain is unbelievably stressful, and their good humour and expertise was a sanity anchor through it all. Healys tend to have a large chain in copy, which means that asks and emails are always picked up super promptly. They keep really diligent records and this has always meant that the communication has been fantastic. They've gone above and beyond numerous times for us, adjusting and responding professionally to frankly surreal and unique situations caused by other parts of the chain - Kiri Kkoshi, Healy's Head of Real Estate, even intervened personally at one point to resolve an issue. We used their services when we bought our flat originally four years ago and naturally ran straight to them when it became time to sell! I would never use anyone else at this point, and would highly recommend them to anyone working out who to go to for their conveyancing needs. Jane, Vicki, Kiri, Sam, Mariana, Alfie, Kimberley and everyone else at Healys who worked with us these past 10 months - thank you. Truly could not have done it without you.

Tagged solicitor Graeme Booth

Graeme dealt with the sale of my late mother's house in Cornwall. Under difficult circumstances of COVID, the service was excellent. He was always responsive to any questions/enquiries and even when he was away from the office he made sure there was continuity, resulting in a prompt sale completion. Thank you
