Law firms ranked by client reviews
Set aside of a judgment in England and Wales covers when a party seeks to cancel or annul a judgment that has already been entered, typically due to lack of proper service, mistake, or new evidence. A solicitor explains how to challenge a default or imminent enforcement order and what steps to take to obtain relief so the case can be reconsidered. A practitioner in this area drafts and advocates applications for set aside, coordinates with the court, and handles any related applications for stay or rescue proceedings. The work is shaped by the court rules and the need to prevent irrecoverable consequences while preserving access to justice.
