Affidavits are sworn statements used to present facts to courts or tribunals in England. A solicitor practicing this area drafts the factual content, coordinates with the client for statements, arranges the necessary oaths, and ensures the affidavit is properly sworn or commissioned before a notary or authorised officer. They file the document with the appropriate court or tribunal, attach exhibits, serve on relevant parties, and address any required deponent affidavits or counter-affidavits, all in compliance with Civil Procedure Rules.
