This area covers help for executors who are winding up a deceased person’s estate under the law of England and Wales. A solicitor practising here supports the executor in gathering assets, identifying and paying debts, dealing with probate, and distributing the estate in line with the will and with legal duties. It also covers completing Inheritance Tax or other tax forms and liaising with banks, insurers, and the Probate Registry to finalise the estate.
The solicitor helps ensure timely, compliant administration of the estate, including securing probate, identifying beneficiaries, settling liabilities, and distributing assets in accordance with the will and the law. They provide regulated oversight, handling complex or contentious steps and ensuring proper records and finalisation of the estate.

Tagged solicitor Fakhruddin Maimoon
I am glad that Mr Maimoon (Ali) was my appointed solicitor for the probate case. Going through bereavement was hard, but Ali and Slater Heelis managed to handle most of the affairs re the application of probate and helping to guide me through my responsibilities as an executor of the will. The process was smooth and efficient. I felt I was taken care of with great skill, professionalism and understanding. Would highly recommend Ali and request further legal services again in the future when necessary.

I am unable to give a complete review because the work that is to say, will and probate and the work of yourselves as executors will not go into effect until after my death, at which time I will be unable to comment. However I shall do my best to answer the questions.

A thorough and professional service. The solicitor understood exactly what was needed and prepared a clear Deed of Variation that could be acted on by the executors. It took longer than the estimated 10 days, largely due to the unavoidable delays due to the long use of the paper post system.

Tagged solicitor Jasmin Marshall
We have recently used the Mapperley branch to sort out Grant of Probate and will also be using them for conveyancing. Jasmin Marshall who dealt with the probate was very professional but lovely at the same time. She put us at ease at what was a difficult time for us, and made the whole process much less painful. From start to finish it only took 3 weeks for probate to be granted and during that time we were kept fully informed. I can’t thank Jasmin and the team enough for what they did.
