Legacies covers the gifts left in a will, and the broader work of handling a person’s Will, estate and final affairs after death. A solicitor practising in this area drafts, reviews and validates Wills and codicils, identifies bequests (legacies), and helps executors collect and distribute assets in accordance with the Will. They also apply for the grant of probate or letters of administration, identify potential inheritance tax issues, and communicate with beneficiaries, creditors and the Probate Registry to wind the estate up lawfully and efficiently.

“We were very impressed with the whole setup of Sweeney Miller and especially with Faraz who was friendly and professional also. The costs were discussed before the process started and didn't change throughout. The process of making the will was explained from the start and was straightforward. In the final meeting, Faraz explained the will point by point and we were in no doubt about matters.”
