An easy experience but alot of information to take in. Over the process period I became of lots of issues which needed further explanation/clarification.They were promptly dealt with and done so in a pleasant and relaxed way. All staff I dealt with were professional and highly competent.

My wife and I realised we needed to update our wills so booked an appointment with Marshall Hall and Levy. We spoke with a solicitor called Julie Atkinson-McGregor. Julie very clearly explained to us what her role is and the process involved. Having updated our wills before we expected a quick chat, however once Julie started to explain some issues with regards to our previous wills it became very clear her depth of knowledge was far superior to our previous ‘Will Writer’ who had made some clerical/administrative errors on previous wills. Julie explained the pros and cons of getting things done right in the first instance as wills are very important for how your estate is managed. Throughout the meeting Julie was very professional while being very personable and explained anything that we did not understand straight away. If anyone was daunted by visiting a solicitors office to sort out their wills my wife and I agree that Julie was a pleasure to deal with.
I had been putting off making a will for several years, partly because I’m not particularly financially savvy, so finally taking the plunge felt like a big step. I’m so glad I chose MHL. Emma guided me through everything from the very beginning and dealt with all my requests with incredible patience. Even when I had what felt like a hundred questions, she took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, which made the whole process so much easier and less daunting. Julie then handled the legalities of signing the will and offered some really helpful advice too. I now feel confident that I made the right choice of solicitor, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. The fact that I was able to take advantage of the National Free Wills offer through Cats Protection was an added bonus! Thank you to Emma and Julie for making what I had always considered a daunting task such a positive experience.
First rate service from Julie sorting out mine and my husband’s Powers Of Attorney. She explained everything in layman’s terms and was meticulous throughout, ensuring all our needs and requests were met. An excellent, efficient, professional and friendly service from a lady we now rate very highly. We feel confident that our affairs are in safe hands with her and can’t recommend her highly enough.

Brilliant service today while sorting out a deceased relative’s estate. Julie was so kind, patient, and genuinely helpful with the (literally) thousands of questions I threw at her. She made a difficult process feel much less overwhelming. Really grateful — and would happily recommend.

I used these solicitors recently for both a house sale and purchase and they were absolutely fantastic. Special mention to Kimberley. Kept in touch regularly, got everything moved quickly and nothing was an issue for them. Would 100% recommend.
