Disrepair claim
I have had a nightmare with my council for the better part of 2 years regarding repairs to my property, I have chronic illnesses and the mould in my property caused by a leak in the bathroom, was making me sick, i had called and called to make a repair claim, they sent people to assess the property, however its always the same we will complete this, we will complete that.. Nothing would be repaired. The leak has destroyed most of my property and damaged items i can never replace, it ended me up in hospital many times with infections and a heart attack from stress. I finally had enough of pleading with the council to come and repair, so i sought the help of legal HD, from day one they listened and empathised with my plight. they quickly contacted my council to start the disrepair claim and get the repairs within 120 days, it wasnt about the money for me, however they managed to get me compensation to help recover some of the items that had been damaged within the property. I felt very embarrassed to invite people to my house because the smell of mould and the drain flies that started forming from the leak in the pipes. The council tried many times to ignore the issue and claim it wasnt the councils responsibility, however after sending independent surveyors, the reports stated otherwise. i highly recommend Legal HD to anyone facing issues with housing disrepair, Chloe was the fighting force behind my claim and she understood how i felt, i live in London and Legal HD operate out of Manchester, that was not an issue for Chloe who showed nothing but empathy and compassion. I would like to thank Chloe for all the help she has given me and the support she has shown, the repairs are finally going to get completed and i will finally be able to live in my house again
